We deployed a total of 280 Wi-Fi access points with our CHT (Cognitive Hotspot Technology) installed throughout the hospital premises.
With CHT, each access point can analyze its environment and communicate with others, allowing them to automatically make joint decisions to optimize network performance.
We also developed a reverse proxy server to avoid enabling unauthorized ports, thereby enhancing network security.
This project includes our geolocation and presence analytics solution. Through this, managers have precise information about the flow of people in the hospital and occupancy levels. It also allows monitoring to ensure there are no unauthorized people in restricted areas.

Thanks to the Wi-Fi network we have implemented, all staff at Puerta del Mar Hospital enjoy seamless, fast, and secure connectivity.
Even when many simultaneous requests are made, and in complex locations, Galgus technology is capable of responding adequately.
With this, we are achieving improved quality and speed in patient care, which should be the ultimate goal.
Additionally, CHT optimizes investment and operational costs by minimizing the number of required access points and prolonging the lifespan of each.
Very soon, we will have the entire Presence & Location Analytics deployment operational, allowing managers to make informed management decisions based on insights about people flows (occupancy, dwell times, heat maps, etc.). All of these can be segmented by time periods.
It’s also important to highlight that these location and presence data help quickly locate medical equipment and critical patients, which reduces response times in emergency situations.
