Galgus is recognized as an agent of the Andalusian Knowledge System

At Galgus, we have reason to celebrate! We have been accredited as an Agent of the Andalusian Knowledge System, a distinction that preferentially positions us within the ecosystem that drives R&D&i in Andalusia.

This is a milestone we want to share with pride, as it makes us one of the few private sector technology companies that has achieved this accreditation in an environment traditionally occupied by foundations, universities, clusters, and public research centers.

What is the Andalusian Knowledge System?

The Andalusian Knowledge System (SAC) is a network orchestrated by the Junta de Andalucía (Regional Government of Andalusia) that integrates all actors dedicated to scientific research, technological development, and innovation in the region.

Its mission is clear: to promote knowledge transfer, improve the competitiveness of the productive fabric, and foster sustainable development based on innovation.

Being part of this system means being aligned with the region’s science and technology policies, but it also implies meeting rigorous criteria of excellence, impact, technological capability, and commitment to knowledge generation.

For Galgus, this accreditation is not just a simple institutional badge. It is the recognition of over a decade of work committed to technological innovation as an engine for transformation in sectors such as transportation, aviation, tourism, smart cities, and public infrastructure.

Why is it relevant for a private company to join the SAC?

Because it broadens the scope of applied innovation. While the SAC has historically been dominated by entities from the academic and public spheres, the entry of companies like Galgus reinforces a vision more connected to the real needs of the market.

From our experience, we are convinced that technology has a real impact when it manages to translate into tangible, effective, and scalable solutions.

Furthermore, being part of the SAC allows us to strengthen ties with other agents in the system, participate in new calls for R&D projects, and continue to consolidate Andalusia as a benchmark for advanced technologies from southern Europe.

This milestone comes at a particularly exciting time for Galgus. We continue to expand the limits of what connectivity can offer. And now, as part of the Andalusian Knowledge System, we do so with an even greater responsibility: to continue developing solutions that transform environments, improve experiences, and generate knowledge of great value.

Thank you to everyone who has accompanied us this far!
