Galgus has been awarded at the SmartRail World Innovation Awards 2018 in the “Operational Performance Innovation of the Year” category. The jury has aknowledge its CHT distributed, self-optimized, multiplatform, cognitive software for maximizing the performance and operation of on-board Wi-Fi networks.
The awards are given within the SmartRail Congress, an event organized by SmartRail World, which is the online home of cutting edge rail and metro technology. Since their launch in 2013, they’ve had a focus on the growth of digital technology within the industry – from signalling and telecommunications to fare collection and passenger experience. Their readers come to SmartRail to learn about the latest industry news trends and developments, and how they can use them on their own rail and metro networks or with their products and services.
The panel of judges; Piia Karjalainen, Senior Manager, MaaS Alliance, Freek Bos, Board Member, European Passengers’ Federation, Armand Toubol, Vice President, New Opera, Ben Craze, CEO & Co-Founder, Infinitive Group – Managing Director, Infinitive Engineering & Technology, Valentina Ion, Director Government Industry EMEA – Microsoft at Microsoft Corporation, had to decide between the projects presented by IMSAT (A system for railway point machine fault detection, SKF Insight Rail (Condition monitoring system for smart and flexible maintenance) and Galgus’ one.
