The event was held in Helsinki (Finland) on September 19th to 20th and Galgus was represented with our Innovation Manager, Dr. Pablo Aguilera PhD. There, he had the opportunity to meet people from several countries and discuss about the possibility of partnership agreements to participate in different projects.
The Digital Excellence Forum, also known as ICT Proposes’ Day is considered the biggest event organized by the European Commission to promote R&D in the field of information technology and telecommunications (ICT).
This research and innovation event was focused on the priorities of the European Union for the digital transformation of the industry and society. It was an opportunity for people involved in this transformation to share their experience and vision of Europe in the digital age. The event served as a platform for the presentation and launch of the Horizon 2020 Work Program.
The ICT 2019 had three main pillars:
- Information sessions designed to present the main features of the Horizon 2020 call.
- Visits to the ICT innovation ecosystem in the city of Espoo, home of VTT, the University of Aalto and the CSC Science Center.
- Face2Face Brokerage event, where participants had meetings with potential partners in pre-established bilateral meetings.
This last one was especially useful for Galgus, who was able to hold several interesting meetings with prominent representatives of the European innovative ecosystem.
