November 11, 2021 will be recorded in Galgus history, an unforgettable night in which the jury of the Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS) awards granted us the Prize for the Best Innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.
This recognition is the result of our work on solutions for smart tourism that allow us to monitor the movements and behaviours of all mobile devices that are within the area of influence of any of our WiFi access points.
A great value tool when it comes to knowing better than ever the visitors behaviour to a town, so that with this information, public managers and private businesses can design truly effective strategies in order to make their stay an unforgettable experience and make them want to return and recommend it.
The awards ceremony, with more than 400 finalist companies, took place at the Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville and was attended by leading international companies in the sector, as well as public representatives from different levels.
During the event, in addition to Galgus, companies such as MSC Cruises, Fusió d’Arts Technology (Visualfy), Garden Hotels and Cruise Saudi were awarded in different categories. Congratulations to all of them! As well as all the nominees, who showed very high-level projects.
Without a doubt, the TIS is being a most enriching event for us. Beyond the award, at our stand we are receiving many visits with whom we are exchanging ideas and experiences to continue growing.
In addition, on the same day (Wednesday 11) our CEO, José Gonzalez, participated with Antonio Jiménez, IT Manager of Real Betis Balompié, in a session about how we deploy a WiFi infrastructure for his stadium, thus meeting a high demand scenario.
Therefore, there are many memories that we are going to take in our wallet after the event closes. Of course, the TIS effects will go much further, making us continue working to develop solutions aimed at generating smart environments, both for tourism and for other industries.
