Wi-Fi Connectivity and Location Analytics in the offices of the Government of Andalusia
We are undertaking the largest Wi-Fi project in Europe and the largest Location Analytics project in the world by deploying our equipment and technology in more than 10,500 public buildings.
Together with our partners Telefónica and Vodafone, we provide an enhanced connectivity experience for users and workers, as well as precise location analytics that enable optimized management decision-making.

High-performance connectivity and location analytics for better CITIZEN SERVICE
The Government of Andalusia trusts Galgus to provide WiFi coverage in more than 10,500 locations.
The general objective of this project is to provide a comprehensive Wi-Fi connectivity and Indoor Location Analytics solution that is robust, secure, and scalable to meet the needs of the Government of Andalusia.
Galgus was selected by Telefónica and Vodafone for this project. Throughout the project, 50,000 access points will be deployed in hospitals, health centers, schools, museums, tourist offices, employment agencies, ministries, city halls, and many other spaces.

Key devices and technology to achieve the desired results
Currently, we have installed around 22,000 access points, and 5,000 are in the process of being deployed.
All of them feature our CHT technology (Cognitive Hotspot Technology), which allows for a fast and smooth user experience in crowded environments thanks to the automatic optimization of network parameters.
We use our Cloud Manager for the comprehensive management of all network devices, including access points and switches.
Additionally, it includes Location & Presence Analytics, which enables the use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies to capture accurate location and movement data of devices without user intervention.
This provides in-depth and real-time knowledge of people’s behavior in the locations. It serves to enhance management decision-making. The end result: greater operational efficiency and optimized citizen experience.
Results achieved
We continue working to bring our technology to all the offices of the Government of Andalusia, regardless of their size. Our access points and technology are already operating at full capacity in many of the most emblematic institutions and buildings of the Andalusian government, covering everything from ministries and administrative bodies to hospitals, schools, courts, residences, sports facilities, and much more.

How do we apply our technology in the offices of the Government of Andalusia?
Wi-Fi Presence & Location Analytics
This technology allows us to know at all times, with unique precision in the market, the occupancy and flow of people in different areas of the building.
Thanks to AI algorithms, it is possible to count and track connected and non-connected devices, even those that randomize their MAC addresses.
This increases the understanding of everything happening within the building, allowing us to offer a better experience to users through informed decision-making.
Location of equipment and vulnerable individuals through Bluetooth wristbands and tags
Our equipment is configured to differentiate between statistics obtained from Wi-Fi and data on materials and people collected through wristbands and tags that operate via Bluetooth.
This way, we have control over the location of equipment and elements at all times, and even some people who require special attention, such as vulnerable patients in hospitals.
With all this, valuable time can be saved in certain circumstances, and business intelligence can be gained regarding everything that happens in the center.

Wi-Fi/5G Convergence with Galgus Connect
Our Galgus Connect solution enables an automatic and seamless transition between 5G and Wi-Fi networks.
We leverage the Wi-Fi infrastructure to connect with mobile networks and optimize connectivity experience in areas with low coverage.
Additionally, we prevent mobile network saturation by allowing off-loading to the Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Automatically optimized Wi-Fi network
We have our own technology, CHT (Cognitive Hotspot Technology), which adds value while reducing operational costs.
This technology offers a high-level user experience through Wi-Fi networks that respond in crowded environments thanks to automated network management, thus requiring less maintenance.
It is a distributed intelligence, without a centralized controller, where each AP monitors its environment, shares information with others, and collectively makes the best decision for network performance.
With all this, we achieve a genuine differentiation from other market alternatives.
