Together with Telefónica, we deploy Wi-Fi access points in the areas with the highest tourist density in the city of Mérida and its surroundings, thus offering them the best possible connectivity with our AI-powered technology.

High-performance connectivity in tourist areas
The project, driven by RED.es as part of its Smart Tourist Destinations program, aimed to provide quality connectivity for tourists in the province of Badajoz, specifically in Mérida and its surroundings.
To achieve this, it was necessary to install a Wi-Fi network that would ensure fast and reliable Internet access, especially in crowded areas, to enhance the visitors’ experience.

Key devices and technology to achieve the desired results
We deployed a total of 40 Wi-Fi access points in the main tourist spots, both urban and rural, in the city of Mérida.
These access points featured our AI-based distributed intelligence, through which each AP evaluates the situation and, collectively, automatically determines the best network configuration. All of this is achieved without the need for a centralized controller and with the minimum number of devices installed.
